Alerts
Maev sends alerts when a failure is detected at the end of a session.
Alert channels
Slack
Connect Slack from the Settings page. Once connected, invite the Maev bot to your channel with /invite @Maev. Maev sends a message whenever a session fails. The message includes:
- Failure category and severity
- A plain-language reason for the failure
- A direct link to the session in the dashboard
See Slack integration for setup instructions.
Maev sends email alerts to the address on your account for high and critical severity failures.
Alert content
Every alert includes:
- Which agent failed
- What failure category was detected
- The severity level
- A link to the full session timeline in the dashboard
Alert conditions
Alerts are sent when:
- A session ends with a failure classification of any severity
Low-severity failures (like minor latency spikes) still trigger alerts. Use the severity level in the message to triage quickly.
No alert spam
Each session produces at most one alert. Maev does not send duplicate alerts for the same session.
Alerts are fire-and-forget. A failed Slack delivery or email bounce will not affect session ingestion or classification.
