Slack
Connect Slack to receive failure alerts directly in your channel.
Setup
- Go to Settings in your Maev dashboard
- Click Connect Slack
- Authorize Maev in the Slack OAuth flow (this adds the Maev bot to your workspace)
- Invite the Maev bot to any channel you want alerts in:
/invite @Maev - That is it
You will see a welcome message in your channel confirming the connection.
What you receive
When a session fails, Maev sends a Slack message with:
- The failure category and severity
- A plain-language reason for the failure
- A direct link to the session in the dashboard
Changing the alert channel
Invite the Maev bot to a different channel with /invite @Maev and remove it from the old one. Alerts follow the bot.
Disconnecting
To remove the Slack integration, go to Settings and click Disconnect next to the Slack section. Alerts stop immediately.
Troubleshooting
No messages arriving
- Check that the Slack connection shows as active in Settings
- Make sure you invited the Maev bot to your channel with
/invite @Maev - Check that your agent is actually triggering failures by looking at the Sessions page
Messages going to the wrong channel
Invite the Maev bot to the correct channel and remove it from the old one.
